There are plenty of free proxy services. http://proxy.org/cgi_proxies.shtml
Any of the ones in the Top Ten Listings will probably be fine. The main difference will be in the user interface.

I found http://pirateray.com/proxy recently, they use encrypted SSH tunneling and constantly updating the list of proxy servers in different locations, so you can choose any of them. Works good with any browser on Windows, Linux. Free to try.
