Posting Guidelines



Before posting, please make sure you have read the forum FAQ. It's there for a reason.


If you do not have spyware or another parasite and just want a check for anything suspicious, do not post that here. Click here for that.


Please do not post your email address or other personal information. Spammers do lurk here and they also operate email harvester bots to scan for email addresses. If a moderator sees that you have posted an email address, it will be removed.



DO NOT POST YOUR LOG FILE INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S TOPIC!

START YOUR OWN TOPIC.


Please copy/paste your logs into your post unless specifically asked to attach one. Please stay with your original topic when posting follow up log files.

Everyone who helps here are volunteers and as such are not on-line 24 hours a day. Sometimes it may take a while to respond to your log and other times, unfortunately, your log may get overlooked. Please read the pinned topics first as the solutions talked about will help resolve many of the problems.
  • If you find that you have been waiting for at least 3 days without a response, please post a link to your topic and the date you started your topic in a response here. If no link is posted, no help will be provided.
  • Only use this topic for the posting of unanswered threads. Do not use it for comments, etc as I will be deleting those to keep it clean.
  • Request posted in this thread where the original thread is less than 3 days old, will be ignored.
  • Request making use of expletives and rudeness will be deleted.
  • Review requests posted to see how it is done correctly.
Your post in this thread will be deleted a few days after your log gets a response. Don't post logs here - just the link to your topic.

Please include the date of your waiting post so we can try to help the oldest ones first.

(Helpers please note, if you take a log from here please post in this topic stating which person you are helping, it makes administrating this topic much easier - jedi)

I got some help (Lance_yien) on my original post but
1) this didn't solve the problem
2) half of the tools that Lance_Yien asked me to install (including the recovery console) are still on my laptop and I am desperately waiting for the uninstall instructions
