NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe Merged -- same computer

Recently downloaded Microsoft updates on Windows2000 computer. Reboot came back with
NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe-Entry Point not found
"The procedure entry point GetySystemWow64DirectoryA could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll."
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Use Mozilla Firefox browser.

Recently uninstalled HP6110 printer no longer using. Next reboot brought up a very annoying popup stating
"PSPrinters08 Error 1706 no valid source could be found for product InstantShareDevices"
How do you get rid of this annoying message which pops up many times?
