Good program to perm delete files?

What is the best program to permanently delete files? For Win Xp.

If you're referring to regular files, I like using the Secure Delete feature of SpyBot: Search and Destroy.


If you're interested in deleting Temp files, etc., CCleaner would be my recommendation.

Cool can I use it to wipe the free space on my hard drive too?

If you mean overwriting disk space, Eraser is very good, and free:
