My Laptop has been badly affected by malware from last couple of days. It causes multiple pop ups while using IE v6 and has caused my data cds to not be recognised by Win XP Pro. Windows however does recognise all audio and video cds and dvds. I ran several scanning softwares namely AVG Spyware, Trojan Remover and SpyBot Search & Destroy. All these softwares catch multiple trojans and I chose to clean and quarantine them and reboot as recommended yet they reappear.

I would seriously welcome any help to either get my cd drive to recognize data cds so I can reload windows xp or to help me clean the trojans.

Avg Scan reports the following -

Trojan.BHO.g
Trojan.Agent.agv
Download.Agent.bgk

Any help sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

Please read our Forum FAQ in order to find out what info we need (HijackThislog) so we can help you.

Hi,

Sorry you’ve had to wait for a few days but all of the helpers here are volunteers and we’ve been really busy recently.

If you still need help, please post a fresh HijackThis log into this thread so I can make sure nothing has changed and I will be happy to review it for you.

:)
