      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Infostealer virus

3 posts in this topic

OK, I've tried almost everything. Hijackthis!, AVG Anti-Virus (and Anti-Toolkit), Vundofix, Ad-aware, Combofix but nothing. This virus is annoying; I keep getting popups from Norton Antivius saying it detected it (and removes it) but it seems like every 5-10 minutes, I keep getting that same message. I've done a full scan with Norton, Adaware, and a bunch of other programs (listed above).

This annoying thing does not go away. I believe that this virus is what is causing popups for me. Getting advertisements from Netflix, ManiaTV, and one other.

Such a day-drainer for me to kill this virus heh. I'm up at 2:30AM still trying to kill this thing and I have to get up at 6:00AM for marching practice :(

Nothing suspicious on HiJackthis:

Also getting a popup from Norton saying: win17F.tmp.exe is trying to access the internet.

I haven't done a safe mode reboot + scan so I'll do that sometime tomorrow (eh, it's morning now, so today).
