Was unable to delete TV Media, and the mwsvm - there was no .exe of mwsvm. BIN file, ActiveX control, and "Nero Showtime File", but no .exe.

I'm also still getting a crapload of redirections to Lycos and various other search pages...had to try three times to reply to this thread.

Ok, TvMedia is the problem.
Try it this way:-

Reboot into safe mode. (Tap F8 as the computer boots, and select safe mode from the menu.)

Run Hijack this again, and scan. put a check by all the TvMedia entries. close all other windows, (close, not minimize) and click on fix checked.
Then, WITHOUT rebooting, delete the folder C:\Program Files\TV Media

Okay, so I'm still having serious issues with this stupid TV Media thing not being deleted. It says it can't, because another person or program is using it...nobody else is logged on, I'm in safe mode, and all user processes are ended except for explorer. The TVM entries keep coming back immediately after I run HJT and delete them...I'm about ready to kill something.

New log (updated as I'm typing):

Please download the Killbox. Unzip the program, and run it.
Either browse to the file C:\Program Files\TV Media\Tvm.exe, or type the filename into the box.
Click on the action button in the toolbar, and select "delete on reboot".
Reboot, run Hijack this again, and fix any entries for TVmedia that remain.
Reboot again, and post a fresh Hijack this log.
