      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

I think I may have fixed it (weel Ad-Aware may have) I have been dealing with this since yesterday but ad-aware just got a new update today so I just scanned my whole computer and it found 72 files and registry keys and junk. (68 of which were coolweb and 4 tracking cookies) Anyways removed them all and so far no problems no pop ups no google redirections and my homepage is back to msn.com which is wrong but at least its not res blah blah blah anymore. Going to reboot and see if it lasts and will put a new hijackthis file up when I am done but hopefully Ad-Aware really has fixed it. :p

After reboot still no problems and ad-aware detects nothing. I ran Hijack this and notice alot of run once files are gone but i see the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\bqazm.dll/sp.html#37794

is still there so is it safe for me to just delete all the bqazm.dll junk?

Thanks

Well it looks like the update Ad-Aware released today solved my problems so everyone might want to update their ad-aware if they are having similar problems. Ad-aware yesterday did not solve them so its deffinetly the update that seems to have done it.

Good. Just tick and fix these and you should be in the clear (names may have changed again):

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\bqazm.dll/sp.html#37794

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res://C:\WINDOWS\bqazm.dll/sp.html#37794

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = res://C:\WINDOWS\bqazm.dll/sp.html#37794

Then before reboot delete this file (or whatever its name may be now):

C:\WINDOWS\bqazm.dll

Let us know if everything is still ok.

Good work. Glad we could help. :)

In IE, use Tools->Internet Options to set your home page the way you want it.
