Hi all,

Having read various threads and articles on this (wonderful) forum, I am just wondering if the simplest solution is just to completely ditch Internet Explorer and start using Mozilla or one of the other browsers?

I'm suffering from CWS and the about:blank malarky and I don't know if I'm competent enough to get rid of it. So my question is...

Can I simply change browsers and not worry about it, even if the CWS trojan is still on my machine?

Here's hoping the answer is 'yes'.

Cheers

Also...

What if I were to back-up all my work and stuff and then run my Sony Vaio Recovery Disk?

Isn't that the surest way of sorting this out?

In short... nuke the thing.
