      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

possible hijacking/trojan horse

4 posts in this topic

First off I would like to thank everybody involved with this service. It is nice that people have a place to go for help with complex computer issues. My computer has had some strange things happen lately that rose my suspisions that I may have a malicious program on my computer. I have been getting a repeated pop up from a site that I think is called "the perfect casino", and a small pop up that looks like a windows alert that says "windows has detected spyware modules on your pc. You must install a spyware scanner" click to install/cancel. I have run updated Norton antivirus, spybot s&d, adaware and I even did an online scan and received nothing. I also currenty run zone alarm as my firewall. The casino pop up puts a shortcut on my desktop with a big x as the thumbnail pic. The name is Telnet (tenlnettxp.exe). I also have a program called mcc (mcc.exe) in my windows/system32 folder that I did not download, but I have it. I also wonder about a file called taskngr (not taskmgr) in windows/system 32. This is my hijack this log. If anything looks suspicious I would appreciate any help.

Since my first post I have run and downloaded cwshredder and registry mechanic. Cwshredder deleted a couple of entries, and my computer does seem to be running better. No casino or spyware pop up lately. But, the "telnet" program is still trying to access the internet. I have been denying access when my zone alarms prompts me of the alert. I also get a lot of blocked/deleted trojans by norton while I'm using the internet. I scan after the alerts, sometimes nothing, sometimes a couple of trojans are detected and deleted then also. I wanted to post another hijack this log just in case the entries have changed now. Before the post I ran: spybot s&d, adaware, registry mechanic, cwshredder and norton antivirus.

Since my last post I have run cwshredder and registry mechanic on my stystem. Both came up with some results and I deleted all. Computer is working better, no casino or spyware pop up ads or shortcuts added to my desktop. Zone alarm is still alerting me to "telnet" attempting to access the internet. I deny all requests. From what I understand telnet is a remote access program for computers :wtf:

I thought I would re post hijack this. Just ran adaware, spybot s&d, cwshredder, and norton antivurs. Does anything look suspicious.?
