When I shut down my computer (Windows XP) I get a requester saying the program sgtray.exe is running (or something like that). What is sgtray.exe doing and should I get rid of it?l

Thanks for the link LB!

I take it that sgtray.exe is just part of Windows XP and I don't have to worry about it.

Hope you have received replys that answered your question. This is part of Veritas, as part of Backup Exec Desktop or Backup Exec Desktop Pro (as well as some of the other Veritas backup products). When running in the background, Storage Guard alerts you when you have not done a backup of your data for a while.Since the regular backup of your data is something we recommend very highly, we feel it is a matter of personal preference as to whether you want to have Storage Guard in the background constantly checking on you, or whether you prefer to rely on your own manual procedures.
