my zone alarm tells me that I have a spooler subsystem program. Only problem is I don't have a printer installed. Have updated just last week.

Don't worry about the Spooler Subsystem App. That's really the NT kernel calling things and then _spooling_ them for later action by the system.

It's a perfectly harmless program that's needed by the system for many functions.

Google for more detail on it.

Thanx for the assistance. I was wondering since I've had to shut things down so that I get updates. I'm parinoid, I know, but I'd rather that then having people take control. ;)
