a few days ago i caught the "ms-search" hijacker. i immediately ran adAware (found 9 items) and followed that with spybotSD. then i went thru the registry wiping out all obvious keys/values and i am also running ie-spyad . all is fine now ...except for one weird thing. when i type an address/url in the addres bar of ie6 sp1, the full url takes me to the site i want immediately with no probs, however if i type a short url eg: spyware.com, that request gets hijacked by the ms-search monster and wont let me out, but it makes no home pages now or does anything malicious. i want to get rid of it because i dont want crap runnin around in my computer. here is a sample if hijack this. i am willing to format but would like to avoid it if i can...aloha
