Found this on another forum:

Home Search Hijacker
http://hsremove.bravehost.com/

The author of the program, hsremove.exe, offers it as-is, with no warranty. It worked fine for me, but you may want to backup important documents or programs just in case.

Note: be sure to close all windows before running in order for it to fully clean your system.

Someone said this might only work for Windows 2000 and XP. I have XP.
Also I noticed that after using this, the plug-in for Adobe acrobat reader that reads PDF files in an IE browser didn't work, though the full Adobe reader program was still functional.
Easy to fix by re-downloading the Adobe acrobat program.
I've written the HSremove program author about this.

^RGClark, did it work for you though?
I'm at work, the PC with the culprit is at home.
Researching for ways to fix once I get back. :(

Yes it did work.
Actually, I'm not even sure about the Adobe Acrobat thing.
I may have done that myself when I was removing entries using HijackThis.

I noticed sometimes the site, http://hsremove.bravehost.com/ , does not come up the first time you visit it. Try hitting the refressh button to bring it up.

Thanks for the tip. Ran it and the POS is finally gone. Don't know what else is gone, but don't care. Took a few tries, but was finally successful. Just make sure to close everything (including the hsremove site) before running.
