      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

7 posts in this topic

Hey,

On my system at the moment I have:

IE 5.5 (Up-grading to IE 6 on the 1st July)

Mozilla 1.6 (My Fave)

FireFox 0.8

And I was just wonderin which was the best (safest) web-browser.

Thanks

If you are running a Windows OS, then you should make sure you are up to date with ALL patches and Service Pack' (SP's), this includes the latest IE6 and its SP's. Please see this thread: http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/index.php?showtopic=5637

When that is done, dump IE and continue to use Mozilla, plus you can upgrade to Firefox 0.9.1 at:

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

IE is the least safest browser of them all. Whatever you use has to be an improvement. :p

I agree with Firebird,

MSIE is the most used Internet browser in the world. Here is the proof :

http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

http://www.upsdell.com/BrowserNews/stat.htm

BUT that doesn't mean it's the very best one and certainly not the safest one.

Alot of malware-authors use the weak points of MSIE to get as many victims as possible.

Firefox has also alot of extensions to meet your personal wishes.

A couple of other decent free AV's are Avast http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html and Antivir PE Classic http://www.free-av.com/

But if your really attached to AVG you could always try to uninstall and reinstall it, that could fix the problem.

Hth.
