(reposted from Malware Removal where it got buried in 6 seconds flat).

Akamai, I thought they were a pretty reputable firm.

HijackThis always finds BHOs from Akamai, and normally I leave them alone, stuff like:
hxxp://akamai.downloadv3.com/binaries/IA/dtc32_ES_XP.cab
or
hxxp://akamai.downloadv3.com/binaries/P2EClient/EGAUTH_pack_XP.cab

but today I found:
hxxp://akamai.downloadv3.com/binaries/LiveService/LiveService_5_EN_XP.cab
on my machine which is NASTY trojan/spyware stuff.

Also hxxp://akamai.downloadv3.com is set to some porn site.

They been attacked?

Akamai is a massive host for many, many companies. They don't review what they host.
Signature file is under revision. This will be back shortly.
