I have read the required FAQ on your homepage, and have run updated versions of Ad-aware and Spybot.

I've made a lot of headway in the last few days with my CWS trojan problem. I think I was able to get rid of it using advice given in other posts. I still have one remaining quandry, and I would like someone to review my HJT logfile:

When I go into my control panel under "add or remove programs", I have a program listed as "AdWare & SpyWare". When I attempt to remove it using the "change/remove" button, there is no option for removal, rather a web page opens up for "Adware Remover Gold". I would like to remove this program - thus far, no one has even been able to touch on this issue.

I would appreciate any help.

Ryan,

You made me register to answer you :grrr: I had the same problem. SpyBot 1.3 did not do it. I did a search of all my files looking for the word AdWare. Found a few cookies and uninstall files. I deleted those. Then I did a regedit and searched for AdWare. I had to do a couple of Find Next, but eventually I found the entry that was causing the problem. I deleted that entry. Exited regedit. Restarted the computer. Check Add/Remove programs and it was gone. Hope this is the end of it. Take care.

Ron
