Just wondering if anyone can provide me some info on bho's. I am a programmer and would like to know where the bho's can be found in the registry - similar to hijack this. I did find one spot, and it does list the bhos, but I am wondering on how the .dll associated with the bho can be located, as I could not find it in the strings for any of the bho's.

I have been looking: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects

How can I match each bho keyname to the dll associated with it?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Use the CLSID from HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects

Look up the relevant registered CLSID to find info about it, including the associated dll.

The problem I found was that there was no such dll on my system. So I've no idea how my browser was being hijacked. I just removed the offending BHO whilst in safe mode.

Hope this helps.
