Before, I have kept my system pristine. It was always very clean, and

ran smoothly. After an unforunate accident with a p*rn site, CWS reared

its ugly head.I have tried everything. I followed all the steps, tried

CWS Shredder (which told me i didnt have cws, but adaware tells me i

do.. it unsucessfully removed it.
Here is what I did. First, I restarted Windows and went into "Safe

Mode" While I was there, I ran ad-aware (with all of the latest

updates) and cleaned cookies, prefetch, and anything else that might

have temporary files. When Ad-Aware finished scanning, it left me with

13 recognized objects. mostly "possible browser hijack attempt" and

various cool websearch entries. after that, i came back to this site

and installed sun java, enabled my zonealarm firewall, and heightened

my security settings on ie. here is my hijackthis log:

Hello,

You need to get the newest version of HijackThis. Open HijackThis, click on -- > Config -- > Misc Tools -- > click on the "check for update online" button and update to v1.98.

Scan and post a fresh log to this same thread, but please leave out the double spacing between the lines.
