Hello! In the past, I've had problems with a enjoysearch.info hijacking. It seems that my computer is fine, but I tried to update CWShredder and the program wouldn't respond when I tried to update it. I opened CWShredder a few minutes later and got a message saying that I was infected with a variant of CoolWebSearch...it noted that the program wasn't corrupted, but I would get random characters as a result.

I have noticed that CWShredder fixes come up clean, but when I do a "scan only", it notes that I have some CoolWebSearch items. I certainly hope that it's a false alarm, but I am still quite concerned! :(

Nevertheless, I thank anyone in advance for helping me and hopefully all will be well. Very well, thank you!

Here is my HijackThis log:

Hello! I noticed this when I do a scan only in CWShredder. I know that a HJT log is more helpful as noted, but I am quite curious about this. Nevertheless, I thank anyone who can assist me during this busy time. Thank you!

I believe you are clean.

In its log, CWShredder is mostly just telling itself what to do "if".
For instance "(if value is 2)".

I suggest download the latest version of CWShredder, it will bring the latest update along with it. http://www.spywarein.../CWShredder.exe

Hello, cnm! Once again, thanks for helping me out :D So the "Scan Only" portion isn't really indicative of a problem? That is, are the items listed just a set of parameters and I should really focus on what happens when I select "Fix"? If so, then I've been fine for a while.

I'm just concerned...as I'm sure you could tell...that something lingers on my computer, but I would hope that it's unfounded. Also, would it be safe to visit secure sites and submit personal information? That is one thing I've been concerned about because I don't know if that sort of thing can be intercepted.

Very well, thank you, cnm, for continuing to help out! :D

Yes to both your questions, and you're welcome. :)
