After about 2 hours of being connected to the internet my web browser (Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) seem to stop working and any page i try to access comes up with page not found and i get the following error in the address bar 'C:\Documents and Settings\MAXX PC\Local Settings\Temp\Batsoaptrans.htm#http://www.tdurtdxdth.com/' with the final part (in this case http://www.tdurtdxdth.com) being the site i was trying to access (MAXX PC is the login name in windows). Someones however it manages to load the page (not fully though) if i repeatedily click the link or press enter on the address. Tried using Opera, it actually brings up an error window in that when it happens, 'connection was terminated by the remote computer'.

The following is a log from Hijack this!

Your log looks ok but I would bet the problem is one of two things or both things. The first being that you connect your modem via USB and the second using Zone Alarm for a firewall. USB always causes connection issues and so does Zone Alarm, I know people will disagree with me but ZA is the most trouble some firewall I have ever seen.

Try connecting your modem via ethernet and uninstall ZA and try Sygate.
