I do not know much about computers, but I had this problem too. I used Webroot's Spy Sweeper and it seemed to control it very well. Originally I tried Ad-aware but it would not pick up on this prosearching problem. After running webroot's program, be sure to reset your home page. The program does notify me that prosearch is trying to reset my home page when I first start my computer, so I don't believe it is totally gone, but Webroot's Spy Hunter (free version) is the best I found so far. I have tried several others, and I had no luck at all, they were interupted or shut down by prosearch. Also, Prosearch will eventually stopany pop-up blockers, and I think it prevented my Norton from updating and running properly. I have even contacted (and Paid for!)several computer repair and tech support outlets and had no success at all prior to finding Webroot's program. Also no one has responded to my request for help on this forum either. Good Luck!
