I have had some strange things happening to my computer. About 3 days ago I all of a sudden had a new lycos search thing appear next to the clock in my taskbar after I booted up. I have scaned with spybot and adaware they both found and fixed problems but the program was still there, I found it in the add & remove programs, uninstalled it but I am still having strange things happen. When I try to shut off the computer the shut down window appears then it comes up with a error that windows explorer has encountered a problem and must close, after several attempts I was able to get it to shut down. When I boot up it says that it cannot find my profile and it will load the default profile. Anyways I;ve rambled on enough. I have posted my Hijack this log can someone HELP ME PLEASE!!

I had the same thing with the same problems. Lycos search in my taskbar and all around weird things going on. This happened about two days ago on mine. Also when I open IE popups are rampant. Ad-aware and spybot found some things but it happened again. i noticed on mine that there was some programs caught from "adware-betterinet" or something like that and VS/2. I am in the same boat you are so I will wait for a response to your post before I do anything.
