      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

slow firefox and iexplorer start up

3 posts in this topic

I was browsing on internet explorer and i noticed a random pop up. I tried to close it quickly and it stalled my iexplorer.exe so I opened up task manager and noticed D90.tmp and quickly ended than but then D92.tmp popped up also and another D9x.tmp. So now my firefox and iexplorer takes like an hour to open. I tried to turn off my computer and it just wouldnt turn off. It stayed at the "Windows is shutting down" screen.

Right now, firefox and explorer wont even open up. I can see firefox.exe on my task manager but it wont end task. I dont have any ad-aware type program on my computer. I have nod32 as a virus scanner and it hasn't failed me till now.

I can't even go into my C:\ drive now. Looking at my process list, i dont see anything new.

EDIT: If i double click one of my hard drives, windows explorer shell hangs. I can open it by right click > explore though. Just some extra info.

I ran my virus scanner nod32 and it found nothing. Ran Spybot search and destroy and it removed some items. Ran malwarebytes BEFORE spybot and it found nothing.

Also, when i try to shutdown/restart in safe mode with networking, it stays on the "Saving your settings" and doesnt shutdown.

Only Safe Mode (without networking) shutdowns properly.
