      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

panda cloud finding zumie & zopt

8 posts in this topic

I use Panda Cloud anti-virus. A full sys scan turns up 2 trojans and 3 adwares. Only 2 of the 5 are neutralized. The ones that aren't are zumie.exe and zopt.exe; there's also a zumie.dll

I've reviewed somethings here (fantastic resource by the way) and followed the basic initial instructions. Ran Malwarebytes (Windows XP svc pck 3 here) and saved the log. Did Hijack This and saved log. Also, have the report generated by Panda. Malwarebytes scan showed "no malicious items detected".

I'm wondering if Malwarebytes is missing the three items or if Panda is mis-diagnosing them as malware when they're really not.

Hi,

Hi,

As suggested on your first post please read the FAQ and submit a fresh HijackThis log for my review.

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise. It is greatly appreciated. I tried to attach the hijack log but received message "Error-You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file." So I'm just pasting the log here.

Hi,

I'm nasdaq and will be helping you.

Print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps.

Nothing suspicious was found on your log.

You may see a false/positive in the report.

Try this:

Reset your computer restore point, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has

administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

1. Turn OFF System Restore.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.

Click Properties.

Click the System Restore tab.

Check Turn off System Restore.

Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.

Click Properties.

Click the System Restore tab.

UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.

Click Apply, and then click OK.

=*=

Run the panda Scan.

Let me know if the problem persists.
