      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

2 posts in this topic

I have been hijacked. Ad-aware 6.0 says its coolweb search but it cant get rid of it. Spybot SD doesnt show anything. changes my home page to "RES://TeTla.dll/index.HTML#26560".. If i run hijack this and ad-aware and try to clean out funny stuff from hijack this . reboot just comes back up. Ran CWShredder says im not infected. I have updated all of these systems still no luck. If i change home page back to say :"yahoo" and do a search the yahoo homepage will stay but the search results open a different page called "WWW.Search-motor.com/search.php?pin=26560qq= " at this point says name of whateveri was searching for in the mentioned case "auto"

I have logs if needed for the software run to clean this out , but no log for startup page.. i dont know how to get that. Thanks for the read if you got this far and i would really like to hear any suggestions.. thanks

oh once when running CWShredder1.59.1 it said i had a varient of CWS.Smartsearch.2 that it was trying to close CWShredder and it would run text in the box . i followed its directions closed all pages ran it . and it said i wasnt infected.. i tried ad-aware , it said i was infected . HELP!!!! :wtf:

Due to the time passed ...

  1. HijackThis ...
    • Double click on "My Computer" to open it.
    • Double click on the local "C-Drive" to open it.
    • Click on "File" => "New Folder" and name it HJT. i.e. The folder will be C:\HJT.
    • Please download HijackThis from any of the following locations:

[*]Install/Unzip it into C:\HJT.

[*]Only run HijackThis from C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe. That way we can ensure that we have the backup files available in the event that they are needed.

[*]Run HijackThis, click on scan and wait for the scan to finish.

[*]The "Scan" button will change to "Save Log", click on it and simply press "Save" on the window that will appear.

[*]Notepad will open with a copy of the log.

  • Click on "Edit" => "Select All".
  • Click on "Edit" => "Copy". This will copy the contents of the Notepad instance to the clipboard.

[*]Please post your entire log here for analysis.
