Unfortunately, I have Windows 95. I am trying to remove things on my own and need to run ad-ware per the home page directions for "most hijacked browser removals". All ad-ware downloads are 97 and higher - any suggestions?

ivegotsand,
Jesus Christ man, Windows 95 !!! I'm glad it isn't DOS or Windows 3.1
You can download "Spybot Search and Destroy v1.3" which can be helpfull
http://www.pcworld.c...id,22262,00.asp
(Sorry, but I couldn't connect to the homepage of Spybot)
This is also a good anti-spyware software (freeware)
Download and install it.
Update it first
Run it and fix the problems.
I hope it helps.
Note : Ad-aware is also working under Windows 95 according this website

Tell me about it. I love sharing it with the general public for the shock factor alone. (Kids gaming computer.)
Thanks so kindly

When I had Windows 95 Adaware worked for me without a problem (just slower scan). I guess it depends how much RAM you have. Less could cause Adaware to freeze and not work..when more can let it run without any problems. Thats my experience with Adaware when i had 95.

It probably is not a ram issue. According to my testing, Adaware 6 requires three additional dll files to function under Windows 95.
See the instructions here to run Adaware 6 under Win 95: http://www.spywarein...t=0
