Hey All,

This is yet another post about the MediaTicket problem that seems to be so common. I've been reading through this site and can't seem to find a definative way to remove this extremely annoying problem.

Symptoms: A browser pops up and points to angelfire site. Hijacks my browser when surfing as well and points back to that page.

I've been scanning my system constanly with various spyware removal tools at various configurations and I can't get it off my system.

So here's my log, please give me a hand with this as it's driving me absolutely insane...

Ok tick and fix the following in Hijackthis.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft DirectX] PDSched.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Update Machine] taskmngrs.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft DirectX] PDSched.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft Update Machine] taskmngrs.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft DirectX] PDSched.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Update Machine] taskmngrs.exe

Reboot then find the following files and delete them.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\taskmngrs.exe
PDSched.exe

Then post a new log here in a reply.

Ok, thanks for your help first of all ;)

I did as you instructed and cleaned those entries.

When I rebooted and did a search I did not find taskmngrs.exe or PDSched.exe. I did find a file named "PDSCHED.EXE-2209D72F.pf"...should I delete this file?

Here's my new log.
