I got the program SpamFighter which works great in keeping my spam down but I just did a HiJackThis log and saw 5 entries of
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\program files\spamfighter\proxy\proxy.dll
When I clicked on more info what I read about this didn't sound to good. So is this normal for a program like SpamFighter or did I just download more crap into my computer?

I haven't seen it on any "infected" lists anywhere, the O10 just shows that there is an unkown file in your LSP, which some programs use to gain access to the internet - but some trojans also use it. Chances are you are perfectly fine.
