My Outlook Express won't run anymore.

I had a power outage right as I was launching the program, and when I restarted the computer, something was wrong and I can't get the program to launch. The computer told me it was recovering from a serious error.

I spoke to the Dell support people and they got me to reinstall Windows, the upgrade mode, not the full reinstall, to try to fix it, and that didn't work, then they had me try something else, and now my computer reboots really slowly.

Other than not being able to run Outlook (it gives me an error message every time) and the slow start-up, my system seems to run fine. Ad-aware scan found nothing.

I'm wondering if I should just download that Mozilloa email program and leave it alone, but I'm worried I might have a virus or something that's just going to get worse.

Can anyone tell me how to speed up my reboot time and fix this Outlook Express trouble? The Dell support people are down to wiping the hard-drive and reinstalling the whole system, which I really don't want to do since everything else runs fine.

Somebody save me, again, please.

Here's my HT log, if that helps:

Do you have system restore enabled? How about trying a restore point prior to power outage...
Failure is not an option, it comes bundled with the software.

Tried and failed. And trying to reinstall directly from the XP disk did nothing as well.

And for some reason, my Image Expert program now needs to install itself (which takes only ten seconds) every time I open it.
