I downloaded it, and it scans much faster then the previous version. There's alot more background shields, like the hosts file shield and the IE hijack shield.

not to mention you can run it from a USB drive provided the host machine doesnt have any webroot registry keys from a current installation.

Tried this new version and it found 1 item that seemed to be legit, which spybot & ad-aware missed. Will still continue to use the free scanners however. The file was a .exe and although this is the first malware i have found on my pc in a damn long time it bothers me. I will test this product a bit more, comparing it to others. One thing that hasnt changed it appears, is the false positives. But if its recognizing the malwares and continuing to update its already large database often, thats all one can ask for right ?

One day SpySweeper will reach the mark of the current 78000 malwares on the internet. Quite reassuring isn't it ?
