You need to run Adaware 6, make sure you update it first then download avast home from avast.com and do a boot time scan, If you have win98 or ME just do a scan in windows.
My guess from you log that you have a virus or spyware slowing down the system.

Already have run AdAware 6 and found 4 dinky files and removed them. Then ran a bootscan of Avast and it found no infected files. I'm also running Norton and it isn't finding anything

I've now discovered that the problem lies on boot up there is a huge lag and then when opening Outlook or Internet Explorer there is a large lag. If I open multiple IE's there doesn't seem to be a lag though? Anyone have any thoughts?

C:\windows\system32\MsgSys.exe looks suspicious. Try to find out more info about it, or just disable it from your startup list and see if things improve.

Hope this helps,

Charlie T.

msgsys.exe actually has to do with Intel's Landesk management suite. Got any other ideas?
