Hi - problems with my daughter's machine. Scanned with Ad-aware, spybot, CWShredder, NAV and ZoneAlarm running, using Firefox browser and all critical MS updates applied. Still having issues. Some are obvious like iexpl0re, need help with the rest. NAV keeps popping up with trojan messages but I swear it's been quarentined.

Appreciate the help, apologies for the delay. I did as requested and got rid of a few more entries based on a tutorial out there on Hijackthis. Here's the log, curious about the WinUpdt and Winka programs executing, they don't look right. Should I whack them also?

Hi - daughter's machine is pretty trashed right now. Looking like a complete re-install is what's required. Norton RealTime scan is out, can't re-install Norton because of a 16-bit error. FireFox is broken somehow, it's a mess. Restore points are no longer available...on an on an on.

This started when I decided to remove the following two entries from starting up. Does anyone know what they are? Tried to kill in task manager, not good, then the system started re-booting on it's own, various sever errors were ocurring and CWSshredder stopped working along with Hijackthis. I've calmed things down but OS is still pretty crippled. Got rid of the WinDUpdate directory and a few trojans. Will work on it some more and maybe post a log to a new thread. I also saw a new one, aolmsgr which I killed as I don't think it is what it seems.
