:D I hope this isn't the worst trojan on the net. Please take a look and see if you see anything that warrants removel.

What problems were/are you having?
Be wary of strong drink. It may make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss!

Thanks for the help. Well, first of all it takes 5 minutes :whistle: of watching the windows XP startup screen come up at boot, after that if i'm lucky :whistle: it will be 5 more minutes of a blank black screen while I hear the hard drive go, tick, tick, tick...... :unsure: Then when everything is fully loaded, (10 minutes later :techsupport: ), I can go about my business. Things will get sluggish if i get too agressive with the machine. The refresh has trouble keeping up, and it will start locking up, if I baby it, it will eventually catch up and work ok..
It DOES run OK when I shut off the SYSTEM RESTORE, and turn on the Diagnostic Startup. HOWEVER its still takes 3-4 minutes at startup (About like a normal windowsME startup)
When I want to do a "NORTON DISK DOCTOR" scan with "Fix it" checked, It says "a software program has 'complete control' of the hard drive" and you need to schedule a fix and reboot. The results then turn out ok. My latest message at bootup is

"Smart Scan has Predicted Failure on hard disc 0, Warning: immediatly backup your data and replace :gasp: your HITACHI_DK23FA-80-(PM), Press F1 to continue Boot" I'm thinking it could be a trojan as deep and the boot file or even the BIOS, Or I just have a Zonked hard drive on a 2 week old machine
