I have read FAQ, updated and ran ad-aware and spy-bot S&D. POP ups and a seemingly out of control browser seem to have subsided, but I still think there is a process running which is eating up alot of CPU capacity. I would appreciate assistance in analyzing this log file from HijackThis:

I don't see anything obvious in your log. Please do the following:

Please download, update and run the A2 (A squared) anti-trojan. You can download it free at http://www.emsisoft..../software/free/ . Let it fix whatever it wants to.

Please run at least one of the following online virus scans. Allow it to clean the whole pc and select the "autoclean" option.

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.bitdefend...can/licence.php
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
http://www.pandasoft...com/activescan/

Reboot and let me know the outcome, along with a fresh HijackThis log and as many specific symptoms of the problem as you can come up with.

:)
