Floder Problems Help!

If your problem is that when you double click on a folder it opens the search companion rather than just opening the folder then this is a solution I found at support.microsoft.com that has worked for me and for my son -
1. Start Registry Editor (Run then type in regedit, then OK).
2. Locate and then click the Default value under the following keys in the registry if this problem occurs with folders:
3. Click Modify on the Edit menu.
4. Type none in the Value data box and then click OK
5. Quit Registry Editor.
I don't remember how I found this but it worked! Hope it works for you,
