Run another hijackthis scan. Place a check next to the following entries, then close all other windows and click the fix button.

O2 - BHO: Band Class - {8272B062-BD4D-4EAD-A149-45B3CE3F5CDA} - C:\WINDOWS\GPALM.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: Band Class - {8272B062-BD4D-4EAD-A149-45B3CE3F5CDA} - C:\WINDOWS\GPALM.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TrayX] C:\WINDOWS\winppr32.exe /sinc
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [reirh] ejghafup.exe autorun
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PZUCI02H] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\PZUCI02H.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GreasyPalmUpdate] C:\WINDOWS\GreasyPalmUpdate.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [cpl] C:\WINDOWS\deamon.exe /i
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [TrayX] C:\WINDOWS\winppr32.exe /sinc
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [au.exe] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\au.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [rate.exe] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\i11r54n4.exe
O16 - DPF: {1377258E-3B22-11D5-AEE0-00E09880AB59} (IDiallerControl Class) - http://www.tiffany-v...om/IDialler.cab
O16 - DPF: {4D561B31-49A0-4E2C-8AFF-353468EC669B} (GreasyPalmInstallHelper Class) - http://www.greasypal.../GreasyPalm.cab

Then reboot into safe mode and delete these files.
C:\WINDOWS\winppr32.exe
ejghafup.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\PZUCI02H.exe
C:\WINDOWS\deamon.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\au.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\i11r54n4.exe

You may have to enable hidden files to find all the files.

Then reboot and run another hijackthis scan and post your new log here.

You should read this to help prevent future problems.

So how did I get infected

I have the same problem as davewgray. Will the solution be the same? I am at work now so can't try out the hijackthis business yet so i don't have a log for you. I was going to go home with hijackthis and try out the same thing as racktracker told davewgray to try but it occurred to me that things might be different on a different computer. should i go ahead and try or go home, get the log, come back and ask for further advice?
