Tryed downloading the new stop sign antivirus, anti-spyware, pop-up blocker . It's from eacceleration. Is this a new type of spyware that actually calls itself anti-spyware. Spysweeper picked it up as malware I think.

Yes. Not that new, unfortunately. Get rid of it!

My first brush with Malware (I think they are) was with eacceleration. I clicked the X to exit the window and before I knew what happened, it seemed like their entire range of products was downloaded. Treat them like the plague and do what cnm says.

I also downloaded Stop Sign to see what it was all about. They even mention in their advertisement that other spyware companies call them "adware". Then they go and try to defend themselves about the pop-ups they throw at you for their free and paid products.

It took me 1/2 hour to get all the JUNK they put on my PC off. They are no better than Spysweeper and Ad-Aware.

Stay away from these guys. I also saw the TV advertisement. Pathetic!

I have also seen the eAcceleration TV Ad's, on a few cable channels, such as:

Discovery http://extweb.discov...viewerrelations and
MSNBC viewerservices@msnbc.com

If you object to eAcceleration's malware, please contact the TV Networks, and let them know what's going on

If enough people complain, they will pull the Ad's

These guys need to be shut down
