I'm not having pop-up problems, oddly enough--I did awhile ago and took care of it, and Google Toolbar takes care of the rest--but for some reason I'm seeing odd words showing up more or less randomly on certain websites. For instance, the word "movies" is on a couple websites I visit, and it's turned into a link to some search result. On another site, the word "ring" shows up as "gay" (I figured this out after seeing words like "dugay" and "weagay" instead of "during" and "wearing"), "lord" shows up as "pussy," and so on. I have Ad-aware, Spybot, SpywareBlaster, and SpywareGuard; as far as I know they're all updated. Spybot has become basically useless; the last time I ran it, it found nothing except Windows Media Player, and Ad-aware found 62 items the same day (mostly tracking cookies and Comet Cursor). Running these programs doesn't help my current problem, and HijackThis shows nothing out of the ordinary. Ideas?

I guess I should add--forgot before--that I did read the FAQ and that I also have Norton Systemworks; I did a full system scan with Norton AV just a few days ago and turned up nothing (and the system should be up to date), so I don't think I have virus problems.

Found out today that the site had a bug and it wasn't just me, so forget about that. The other part is still a problem, though, with normal words showing up as links to weird search engines, and that I assume is still spyware.

Hey there. We need a closer look. Please download Hijack This from my signature. Follow the directions on that website to post a log. Note do not fix anything yet simply scan and paste the log here.

We need a closer look at what's happening.
Please download Hijack this
Copy it into its own folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, do Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.
Be wary of strong drink. It may make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss!
