      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

I must have Adware/Spyware

5 posts in this topic

Operating System: Windows XP SP2

Problem Description:

"The exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd)

occured in the

application at location 0x77d43a40.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Click on CANCEL to debug the program."

I get this error message every time I try to run

Microsoft Internet

Explorer SP1. All of my other programs can go on the

internet (ex.

Instant Messenging programs, and Netscape Navigator).

I have restarted my computer, shut off my computer for

a few days, run

my antivirus software, reinstalled Microsoft Internet

Explorer SP1, and

I have used my Windows XP Pro CD to repair the

operating system. I have also tried using NoAdware,

Spybot Search and Destroy, PestPatrol, CWShredder ,

and even hijackthis to scan for spyware/adware and

deleted everything that was found, but with no luck.

Here is my log file from hijackthis below:

inetinfo.exe is used primarily on Windows NT4/2000 Server where it provides Internet Proxy and Web Server services. (It helps in debugging also.) But, since you have XP, if you don't need

this, you can set this service to manual. Or,

If you open task manager and end the process inetinfo.exe, do you still

have the problem?

Disable or even delete MDM.EXE It can cause such problems.

Go to Administrative Tools/Services and find "Microsoft Internet Information Service", right click on it, go to Properties and set the startup type to disabled. If it will not disable, set it to manual.

Also, cidaemon.exe is known to cause sluggish computer performance.

You may try switching it to manual.

If this doesn't take care of the problem, you could try using your

SFC (System File Checker) tool to detect and restore damaged

windows files.

Hopefully, this will do it.

Let me know how things go after all this; and by the way are you keeping your anti-virus/anti-spyware programs updated and running? Spyware/trojans are notorious for damaging and deleting important windows files.
