I run Windows 2000 on this computer and recently my homepage disappeared and was replaced with about.blank. I read various forums and tried CWShredder, Spybot and even bought and ran SpySweeper. They all appeared to work at first, but then the about.blank (along with annoying pop-ups) would appear again. Re-running the software would pick them up again and apparently delete/fix the problem...then once again it would go back to about.blank. Another note: it also affected my email program. We run IncrediMail here and whenever I deselect a message, about.blank shows up in my email window and pop-ups pop-up.
Another note: ever since this problem occurred, I have been getting constant error messages about my virtual memory...I increased it, but I still get the error...my whole system is lagging.
Today I uninstalled Internet Explorer and installed Mozilla. Mozilla keeps my homepage settings and works well, but I am sure that I am just avoiding the problem here rather than fixing it. :)
Today I also downloaded HijackThis and it brought up a bunch of stuff (the funny thing is it still recognizes IE even though I uninstalled it). Here is the log file from the scan.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! :) :)

I just read about the About.Buster...I'd like to try it but I personally am not sure what to delete/fix from this log first..I don't want to ruin anything further by making a mistake. :techsupport: ;D
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Today I continued to read tutorials and posts and tried a few more things, none of which worked for longer than about 10 mins. Finally I tried about.buster (awesome program!) and it has appeared to work..so far. :)
Here is an updated HijackThis log to see if there is anything else I can clean up or throw away.
Thanks for any help that might come my way!
