Put a check next to these in hijackthis:
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0FCCB1F2-A110-4682-99F7-8419FBF36ECF} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\knkpk.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Winhost] C:\WINDOWS\winh.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [sws.exe] c:\program files\GlobalDialer\wordi00018\368296.exe -remove
O4 - Global Startup: hp center UI.lnk = C:\Program Files\hp center\137903\Shadow\ShadowBar.exe

THEN WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED ,press "Fix".

Make sure you are set to Show Hidden Files and Folders and delete the following files/folders:-
C:\WINDOWS\winh.exe
c:\program files\GlobalDialer\ <----ENTIRE FOLDER!!
C:\Program Files\hp center\137903\Shadow\ShadowBar.exe

Delete files/folder from the following directories (But not the directory itself, for example delete all files/folder IN temp; but not temp itself!)
[*]C:\Windows\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<All other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ <---This will delete your internet cache--including cookies. This is recommended and strongly suggested.
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<All other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
[*]Empty your "Recycle Bin"

Check for the new version (1.98)of HijkackThis by using Config>Misc Tools>"check for online update" button.
Then Reboot and post a fresh log back to this thread.

None of the above seems to have any bearing on your 'error loading nView.dll'
A google search on those terms came up with lots of hits but few real answers.....
Best ones seemed to be
Rename the dll and get a new one ( 1st link below)
Install diff. drivers (not necessarily newer)
UNcheck it in msconfig :)

Make your own choice after viewing these:

http://www.techimo.c...p/t-112552.html

Congratulations, your log is clean.

To reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad.

SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It is free.

More info and download is available at link in my signature

And also see TonyKlein's good advice in
So how did I get infected in the first place?
Things you need(all FREE)

AVG Avast
Firewall (Only One here too)
Kerio(Direct Download) Zone Alarm
Misc. (Use all 3 together)
IE Spyads SpywareBlaster Spyware Guard

Download sphjfix from here
Close all IE/OE/chat windows (close every thing else for that matter) and run spjhfix107... This program has been successful in remove some infections of this type.

RubberDuck has also started to include some temp\sp.html infections in his fix so...

Download the tool About:Buster created by Rubber Ducky. Atri's Stie or Sub's Site
Even if you downloaded this file yesterday please do so again as About:Buster could be updated more than once a day.

Unzip it to your desktop.

Now start Hijack this and tick the boxes next to these items..

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5117CA34-B3A6-4DED-8789-BB37BA299EB4} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ncgaj.dll

Now close ALL other windows and hit "fix checked".

Close HijackThis

Start About:Buster >OK>Start>Ok. Let it run; when done it will give you a log, save a copy of it.
Run About:Buster again save the log again (use a different name)

Delete files/folder from the following directories (But not the directory itself, for example delete all files/folder IN temp; but not temp itself!)
[*]C:\Windows\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<All other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ <---This will delete your internet cache--including cookies. This is recommended and strongly suggested.
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<All other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
[*]Empty your "Recycle Bin"

Restart your computer and post both reports and a new Hijack this log.

If this doesn't remove it there is another, manual method we can use; but it would be nice to get it this way!! ;)

Download reglite from here and install it.
Now run it, enter

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows\

into the address bar; please use copy and past to avoid typos.
Double click on 'AppInit_DLLs' to open a "Data Editor" properties window, if the bottom textfield named "Value" contains a .dll file; then this is the hidden file you need to get rid off.
IMPORTANT: make a note of the path and name of the .dll(s) file.
If there is no file listed in AppInit_DLLs well have to use another method to find it.

Make a new folder for our backups eg My Documents\Backups.
Hi-light the Windows key marked in purple, and use reglite's file menu>export, save in the folder you just created using following formats:
Name them as--
1.) Winkey.reg (Selected by defaults) (Save as type: regedit4 .reg type)
2.) Winkey.hiv (in Save as type: Scroll to select-regetd32/WinAPI *hiv *dat files)
After you have saved both copies then:

Rename the Folder "Windows" (This is a purple "highlighted" folder in the left hand window) to NOTWINDOWS. Simply click on the folder, click on "Edit" in the menu bar and select "Rename".
Click AppInit_DLLs again and clear the value containing the .dll and ok it. This should have removed the .dll (in the regestry NOT from your machine)
Rename the windows folder back to its original name "Windows"; reboot to safemode (instructions) search for and delete the file we found in AppInit_DLLs (the one you noted in 1st step)

If the file won't delete try this:

Create Dummy folder (e.g. C:\junk) Move it there, first:
1.)
-RightClick on it: properties
/Advanced/Security/permissions \
and take ownership giving yourself 'Full control'.
2.)-Right click the 'Container' (junk) folder itself. hit properties.
-Go to the security tab and click the advanced button.
-check the box to reset permissions on all child objects.
Hit apply. ok
Delete file+folder.

Run latest version of CWShredder LINK and AdAware using the setting below:
Now download Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftu...pport/download/
After installing AAW, and before running the program, FIRST update the reference file following these instructions.
- On the main AdAware screen hit the Check for Updates, hit the 'Connect' key; it will then connect, check for then ask if you want to download latest Ref. files (if one is available), accept. Once downloaded hit "Finish" (Green Checkmark)

Now do the following:

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Press "Scan Now"

- Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
- Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
- Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
- Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys. Click 'Next' again
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

If it finds "bad" files and registry keys, press "Next" again
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.

Reboot and post a new HijackThis log

Ok thanks for the reply. Im not sure if im using this program right cause ive never used it before but what im doing is typing what you said into the adress bar and then hitting go on the side of it. Then under it it shows a list of 5 folders called Current version, Help, HTML Help, ITStorage, and Shell then theres a file under that called (default) so im not really sure what to do. I dont want to mess it up worse than it is so ill wait for you to reply.

2nd reply; not sure what happned to the first one??

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows\

Well if the above is EXACTLY what is being input (including trailing backslash) then the value is not there.
So open Windows\system32\ folder>hit search (globe w/magnifying glass) on the Explorer toolbar>when the search window opens use the "Search Option" to set these paramaters> 1) Date = modified in last 5 months & 2)Size=at most 56K.

You can also just open Start>Search>Files and Folders and set same params.

Check any file found; the exact size will be 57,344 bytes. Rt. Click and select properties> a Valid file will have info listed about it on the version tab. Company name, internal name etc. The bogus files;most of the time; only have a general tab.
If there is still any doubt as to the validityh of the file post name and info for confermation.

Once found continue with the previous instruction from ----> If the file won't delete try this: on throught the end.

Probably not the one we want...Check the proprerties again and what is the size listed for just the file...should be listed above the "size on disk", in betting it's either 53,279 or 53,520 ...Also another criteria that needs to be met is the "Modified"date; also on the same tab as size... was it modified in the past 5 months?? One thing that I neglected to put into my second reply (1 went missing) is that you must make sure you are set to Show Hidden Files and Folders

Also B4 your next reply please do this also:
Please Download CWShredder from HERE .Close all other windows and run the Program. Press the "Fix Button" Let it fix all variants. Next, Close the program and Post a Fresh HijackThis log. Please re download if you already have this. Make sure you have the latest version!

Run that, give me any low down on any files you may have found and post a new HijackThis log...

Couple of minor things to fix and let's check to see if all the bad files are gone.

Put a check next to these in hijackthis:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank
O18 - Filter: text/html - {8F24035B-8118-428B-8235-B92F4C6D0011} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ncgaj.dll
O18 - Filter: text/plain - {8F24035B-8118-428B-8235-B92F4C6D0011} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ncgaj.dll

THEN WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED ,press "Fix".

Make sure you are set to Show Hidden Files and Folders and delete the following files/folders:-
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ncgaj.dll

Delete files/folder from the following directories (But not the directory itself, for example delete all files/folder IN temp; but not temp itself!)
[*]C:\Windows\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<All other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ <---This will delete your internet cache--including cookies. This is recommended and strongly suggested.
[*]C:\Documents and Settings\<All other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
[*]Empty your "Recycle Bin"

Copy the contents of the Quote Box below to Notepad.
Name the file as fix.reg
Change the Save as Type to All Files
Save this file on the desktop

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PROTOCOLS\Filter\text/html]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PROTOCOLS\Filter\text/plain]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{8F24035B-8118-428B-8235-B92F4C6D0011}]

Then double-click on the fix.reg file, and when it prompts to merge say yes, and this will clear some registry entries left behind by the process.

Then Reboot and post a fresh log back to this thread.

Also download to desktop and run THIS FILE.
Click on "Locate.com" and allow the scan to complete.
After the scan has finished click on "Compare" to scan for the files that Windows does not see. This step will take a few minutes to run.
If the box at the bottom of the screen contains any files, these are the ones that are hidden - Click on "Make a Log of what was Found".

And post that log back also

And yes HJT ver 1.98.2 is the latest version

Anti-Virus (Only One of these)
AVG Avast
Firewall (Only One here too)
Kerio(Direct Download) Zone Alarm
Misc. (Use all 3 together)
IE Spyads SpywareBlaster Spyware Guard
