I'm trying to fix a friends computer and when logging on to XP an error message pops up "dpcproxy file not found". There are several user accounts set up none of them are able to connect to the internet and I have no idea where to look.

Cannot know for sure from the limited info, but dpcproxy sounds like a file that is used bu Direcway PC proxy service. If he is on satellite from Direcway (hughes) the just re-install satellite sofeware. If this is not the case then, sorry I have no idea.
