AOL 9 SE just came out today...so I know info will be scarce..
looking for info on:
  • AOLDAIL.exe
  • AOLSP Scheduler.exe
  • PortAOL.exe.
I would call them, but kinda don't want to get the runaround......
and for somereason Live Tech Chat no longer works with this version.

Thanks,
Lion

AOLDIAL.exe came with a previous version also, unless that was just because I had a beta version, either way. AOL dial will run on every boot and keep your connection to AOL active while the actual application is not open. It also (at least in an earlier version) dropped a network connection option into your etwork connections folder.

The other two files I've never seen before. But you will get nowhere talking to AOL, ever, about anything. Don't even try engaging people that work for AOL in normal conversation outside of their work. ;)
Quote from Original CWS Article at SWI: "There could be other domains involved in the future." ... We've come a long way since then

Malware esan mala, ji mi disaman. SWI ji kikan ekster!

PM me if you know what that says. Whoever gets it right gets put here!
Bagman wins, good job!

Having Cable I was thinking I didn't need AOLDIAL, but once a week I do get dropped...guess we'll have to wait for Pacman to find out.....lol

BTW- If you have 128MB of RAM or more you get SE....
if you have less than 128, you get LE.

Edit=Found out this morning Firewall blocked PortAOL

Broke down & called AOL...lol

All 3 items can be turned off:

AOLDIAL: Connects you to internet without having to bring up AOL Browser...this was kinda confusing...

AOLSP Scheduler: Automatically checks for updates to the new Spyware Program

PortAOL: Helps you through setting up your Network
