Hi,

I've read the faq - run Ad-aware.

Sometime back, some stupid program installed itself and I couldn't get rid of it. I don't remember what it was.

Somehow, I believe I deleted the bridge.dll.

Now, EVERYTIME I restart I get the error: Can't find the bridge.dll.

It's driving me CRAZY.

Anyone know how to get rid of that errior message?

You'll find my Hijack this info below.

Thanks,

Kenrick

First of all, move HijackThis.exe to its own permanent folder such as C:\HJT\ - otherwise the backups will be on your Desktop. Then run it from there.

Tick the boxes next to all these, then close all browser and explorer windows, and tell HijackThis to "Fix checked". Then Reboot.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdReg] C:\WINDOWS\UpdReg.EXE

This is the one causing the error message:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll",Load

O16 - DPF: {0837121A-6472-43BD-8A40-D9221FF1C4CE} - http://download.side...00719/sb028.cab
O16 - DPF: {1C78AB3F-A857-482E-80C0-3A1E5238A565} - file://C:\install.cab

After fix and reboot, let us know how you're doing.

That did the trick.

Thanks so much for your help. What a relief to have that nuisance gone.
