      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Trojan Horse problem

5 posts in this topic

Hi,

Have a computer affected with a Trojan Horse. Have tried unsucessfully for the last couple of days to remove it but it keeps reappearing :grrr:

NAV comes up with the error message " Trojan Horse found in C:\WINDOWS\hosts" and then "Trojan Horse found in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"

Followed the advice on the Symantec website. Turned off System Restore, updated definitions, rebooted in Safe Mode, scanned, found Viruses, unable to delete or repair so quarantined. Looked in the registry as advised at http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...ojan.horse.html

Couldn't see anything obvious.

Have run Ad Aware and Spybot but to no avail. Found a very similar thread to this on this forum. Ran Hijack This and looked for simlar traits in the log file but still no joy....

My log file from Hijack This is:
