      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Whenever I run Spywareblaster, it disables 2 items worth of protection; the wwwcoolsearch 233 and xxxtoolbar. Then when I run xoftspy, I keep getting coolwwwsearch.com and cws.oslogo back on. How can I get rid of these for good?

Your threads merged to here - please stick to just this one.

Can you give us an idea of what sort of trouble you are having?

xoftspy is an unethical program which is trading on the Spybot S&D name. If you haven't paid for it, try to uninstall it via Control Panel Add/Remove.

One of many articles about it:

Youve got that mixed up a little, spywareblaster sets a protection againt those two and many more, Your xoftspy program misidentifies them and removes the protections.

It doent know if there in the trusted zone or restricted.

same as pest patrol the last time i checked

Your log looks fine by the way

Now I am really confused. Thanks for looking at the log, and glad to know that it is ok. However, XOFTSPY is the program that reccommended that I come to this site for advice. Why would XOFTSPY do that if it weren't legit? Anyway, I did pay for it, but will uninstall it if you see this as necessary. However, what should I use in its' place?

Hi smokey

SpyBot 1.3 and Adaware 6 build 181

Spywaresweeper and pest patrol bring up the rear in popularity, I dont see them recommended here much.

If then You still have problems with Spyware Post a hijackthis log for a review by a proffesional

Home - The home of Spybot-S&D!: http://www.safer-networking.org/

Downloads - Support - Lavasoft#free: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/#free

There s nice tuorial for both here >

Zeros page Content -- scanning: http://www.zerosrealm.com/scanning.php

To help prevent infection SpywareBlaster and IEspyadds and windows update

SpywareBlaster will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies.

Javacool's SpywareBlaster

And hit windowsupdate if you havent recently and any program that uses the net.

IE-SPYAD puts over 4000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

IESPYAD'S

Both are very small free programs that you run once, and then just occasionally to check for updates.

Looks fine

while Javacools spywaregaurd is a great program, you might consider using SpyBots tea timer instead becouse it does much more than Active X

Or Both , But I havent tried that :)

If you had Installed it with the default settings it would have been put in place

Open Spybot then on its toolbar go mode, choose advanced then tools , select resident on that page place a check next to it there,

You have XP so disregard my comment about disabling spywargaurd leave it and also use spybots tea timer

Regards
