Hi,
Posted Image Important! Create a folder via Windows Explorer for HijackThis, then move the file (HijackThis.exe) to that folder. This way any backups created are saved in a legit folder.

First thing to do is ...

Reconfigure Windows 98 to show hidden files:
Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
Click the View menu, and then click Options or Folder Options. Click the View tab.

In the Advanced settings box, under the "Hidden files" folder
Uncheck: "Hide file extensions for known file types"
Select: "Show all files" Ok the prompt
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Next:

Close all open windows and browsers, rescan with HijackThis.
Place a check in each of the following then click "Fix checked".

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {CF25BFE8-8040-62EF-E23F-6709D9415A5B} - C:\windows\system\uzvhpmwk.dll (file missing)

Then reboot, on restart, restart in Safe Mode [required step - see "How To" below]

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\Temp
Completely delete the entire contents of that "temp" folder.

Open Windows Explorer locate and delete the following:

C:\WINDOWS\TASKS\SVCAS.EXE <--this file

While still in Safe Mode, run SpyBot and fix everything marked in red and reboot.

After the above, reboot, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log ...

Hi,
Your log looks clean now ... good job!

I would suggest adding some "Defense" to your system ...

yep me too. Now I have something called trojan golid.A and I cant find anything to get rid of it. TrendMicro Housecall found it and says its non-cleanable and the infected file is Iagold.exe I dont wanna delete that file and it come back, I assume there is some registry key attached to it. AVG is my normal virus software and it does not find this virus. Any ideas?

TrendMicro House Call found that virus and AVG found it but said it was uncleanable. I deleted the file and re-scanned my computer and neither of those 2 found it again. So I guess I'm clean . Thanks for your help once again. Do you still want to see my log?
