winupdt & winka on startup

I have read FAQ. I have run CWShredder, Ad-Aware, & Spybot but still have winupdt & winka loading on Startup.

Have additional info. Have more items starting at startup:
webrebate0 & webrebate1.

Did some 'sleuthing' this weekend and these 'problems' seem to tie into msbb.exe that came down on 7/8/04. It was 'partially removed' by nav - ie. the files are still in temp but the program is not loading. The other items have all come down at the exact same time as msbb - just different days. I have a dial-up connection.

I also noticed that winupdt and webrebate are listed as programs that can be uninstalled. I have not done that as I was concerned that I would cause more problems.

The items just reappear if I deleted them from the Task List.

In addition, if I am in IE (version 6) and want to right click (eg. to copy some text) the options also include one for WebRebate. I have not taken that option.
