      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Adware Midaddle trouble

6 posts in this topic

I have been having trouble getting rid of an adware/spyware called Midaddle. I noticed recently that my websurfing was being interrupted by a page of ads. I would click on a link and instead of going to that site I was re-routed to a page of ads saying that my page was loading and to wait. After 10 or 15 seconds I got to the page I wanted.

I first checked add/remove programs and removed anything that i didn't recognize but Midaddle wasn't listed. Nor is there an unistaller for it.

I then dowloaded and ran Adaware, Spybot S&D, Spysweeper, plus all the free web-based anti-virus I could find in addition to my norton antivirus CE. All of those scans found alot more junk and viruses and after numerous scans restarts and more scans my system seems clean, except the fact that I can't get rid of Midaddle. The moment Adaware would say it deleted it I would restart and it would just re-install itself. I also have Browser Hijack Blaster installed and it finds that Midaddle installs a BHO in the registery and asks if would like to delete it and I say yes and I would then go to C:\Program files\common files\Midaddle and delete the folder manually but still after restart Midaddle is back.

Please help me get rid of it.

Here is my Hijackthis log

mufloru, yes, that method works. That is what has already bee done, with the removal of the two random named items from the Hijack this log.

Lucasr, there is no sign of midaddle in your log.

However, there is one item in your log that I am not able to identify with certainty. Would you please find the file JupitCo.exe, right click on it, and inspect the propertiesand see if it seems to be a legitimate program.

The O16 - DPF: {FF65677A-8977-48CA-916A-DFF81B037DF3} - http://download.overpro.com/WildApp.cab can be fixed with Hijack this. Any of the O16 entries can be fixed, as they will be redownloaded if you visit the site again!
